Description
The British Parachutist's (Para) Smock is an iconic garment, that replaced the Denison smock in 1970s. Standard issue for the Parachute Regiment and other airborne units within the British Military throughout major conflicts like the Falklands War, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Made from the heavy duty polyester and cotton blend as standard issued smocks, the other features then vary which makes this sort after. Press stud buttons rather than stitched plastic to avoid and parachute lines catching. Knitted wool cuffs.
The crotch flap, to snap to the front to stop the smock blowing over heads when in the air.
Heavy duty zipped streamlined front. Specialised pockets, for FFD on the upper sleeve, pen pockets and larger "poacher" pockets.
Grade 1, these have been issue show sings of wear but fully operational for use.
